Bukanaga linked with Longparish
Bukanaga school has been our pilot school, being 6 kms from Mityana. In 2011 Bukanaga had two staff accommodation blocks renovated by the Clarify Foundation, as well as a new latrine for all the teachers. It has directly impacted on the teaching and learning as well as added to the protection of the school. James Kironde, the present headmaster has rising numbers, at present it has 188 pupils and in 2012 received one solar panel and now has electricity for one classroom. In a village that has never had electricity this has been hugely welcomed. With an inverter they have been able to charge mobile phones as well.
