Ziira Community School

Education provides basic literacy and numeracy and it is vital to giving children the opportunity to lift themselves out of the poverty into which they were born. Education is pivotal to social and economic development.

Ziira Community had no school and the nearest was about 5 miles away. Since 2008 our St Mary Bourne youth groups have washed, cleaned, bag packed, served, sorted, tidied, dog walked (+ plenty more) and with the help of their parents have raised over £13,000 when the first bricks were laid. In 2014 another group will hopefully finish the building.
