Kabule – buddies, Zirra, Prison
At Kabule we had to wait for a bit and then some kids arrived who were about our age and we all had a list of questions to ask them and for them to ask us. We seemed to find lots of things in common.
Then we went on to Zirra and were met by a warm welcome. The children sang and danced for us and then we introduced ourselves and met the teachers. We then sat down for lunch which was rice potatoes and beef.
It was really nice and then we all went outside and blew up balloons for the children. The children were very enthusiastic so there were a few small riots. We then blew some bubbles for them and had to say goodbye. We then went back to the hotel for a break.
Finally we went to the prison, had a tour of the facility and introduced ourselves. Afterwards we taught the prisoners how to play dominos and played a few games with them. Then we played football , England V Uganda. The final score was 1 – 1. We all said goodbye to the prisoners and gave them a bag of dominos, lots of bars of soap and footballs. Finally, we set off again for the Enro.
