All go at the Kindergarten!

Our locally-based project manager, Fred Amanyire, sends an update from the Kindergarten in Mityana.
“I visited the kindergarten early this week. I was so impressed that the children are back and all is almost back to normal. Many thanks to Wilberforce and Norah (Head care giver) for the great job. The teachers and student teachers are all doing their best to care and teach the children.
On the day of my visit, 17 January 2022, there were a total of 88 children in attendance, split across the various classes of Baby, Middle, and Top A and B.
This was so good; the two years schools have been closed has negatively affected the education sector. Here some schools have closed, others are starting afresh, some registering low numbers while others have got an influx of pupils. For example, here at Buguluma, the school is at 950 pupils with only 12 teachers, few desks and a lot of congestion in the available classrooms.”
