Ziira update

The following news came through from Charles Mwebe at the start of April.

“I greet you and all supporters of zira school children on behalf of zira school community.
finishing on windows and doors and the urgent delivery of 20 desks has been done as a begi nning.what i can say in appreciation is that there is a great feeling of relief.
we are now preparing to embark on the second phase which includes painting not only for beauty
but especially preservation of the wooden windows.

This marks another stage in the journey at Ziira – from a field in the forest under an tree to a fully functioning school with water tank, latrines, teacher accommodation and now desks! Thanks go to the people of St Mary Bourne and the local children who have been raising money and visiting Ziira since 2008 for making this happen.
